Portrait sessions can happen nearly anywhere: a grass field, your home, a park, a library, downtown, etc. If you have a special place in mind, please let me know. Otherwise, I will make suggestions based on what I know about you and the nearby area.
My goal is to create photographs that are personal and creative. In order to attain that, I’ll speak or meet with you after your session is booked to discuss the location, clothing, and overall feel of the session that works best for you.
Sessions are very relaxed and fun – never rushed. I’ve found that sometimes the best pictures happen when we try something that wasn’t planned or expected.
When doing a photoshoot with children, I’m happy to do whatever it takes to ensure your session is both productive and enjoyable! That’s when I’ll be able to do my job best.
A clear understanding of your vision is very helpful for creative use of location, props, styling and editing. Here are some examples of adjectives that clients use to describe what they are looking to get out of a session: fun, classic, outdoorsy, romantic, edgy, sweet, bright, vintage, etc.
These are not traditional portraits, so please take a look at my galleries to make sure I’m a good fit for you.
***Those of us who live in Washington are used to very unpredictable weather! If you have chosen an outdoor location and it seems that it is going to pour rain the day of your session, I will contact you to reschedule the session.
